Josh Hamilton

Josh Hamilton: I feel bad for the man who died in the stands at Rangers Ballpark on Thursday evening and even worse for her young son. But it's impossible not to have equal sympathy for Josh Hamilton. The foul, Hamilton threw in the stands is going to haunt the man for the rest of his life. How will he be able to sleep this night or a night in the near future, knowing that if he just threw the ball a little longer, the father of the boys would be alive reply is that it be like won't. And for that to happen in Hamilton of all ball players seems particularly sadistic. Hamilton, the 2010 AL MVP, nearly lost his career to drugs earlier they started, and he only put her life and putting himself in the hands of the Lord. And Hamilton still has his demons. When it looked wish he could fall back to safe drinking water a few years ago, he vowed to alcohol. The Rangers, mayhap sensing his weakness, celebrated with ginger ale, later winning the ALCS and ALD in 2010. One can only hope that Hamilton was able to put the incident behind him in the coming months and that he has the strength to resist the drugs that can provide temporary relief, but leaves him far worse for the long term. Baseball certainly seems like a secondary concern for now, but the diamond is home to Hamilton, and will have the chance to be surrounded by team-mate is the day. The pain isn't going away anytime soon. But here's hoping it's just him hard.Josh Hamilton
