Latest Mobile Singapore's 1st solar-charging mobile phone: iNO Mobile Starhub and Foresight Technologies announced on Friday the launch the iNO Mobile 'Solo', Singapore's 1st solar-charging cellphone. Solos's features admit a solar-charging battery, a shock-proof rubberised casing, a 1.8-inch LED screen, a mini-torchlight and an FM radio. Additionally, it's also splash-proof and dust-proof. The solar-charging battery is charged automatically in sunny spots and takes 24 hours to fully charge. The Solo has a standby and talk-time of up to two hundred hours each. Mr Ng Long Shyang, head of sales and marketing, StarHub, said: 'we're forever looking to address the needs of our customers, one of which is the power for military personnel and national servicemen to stay in touch with their friends and family while in the field. The Solo is an ideal feature phone to meet this demand, as it is designed for rugged use in any outdoor environment. Due to its solar-charging feature, the phone is also able to operate far longer than current traditional phones. More importantly, the Solo has no built-in camera which means it's also suitable in areas where the use of camera phones is restricted, such as in camps.
